Southwest College has and continues to be a catalyst for change in its community through theprograms it offers and theservices it provides.Students come to Southwest College for avariety of reasons- attain work skills necessary to seek employment in their chosen field; prepare for transfer to a university or college to receive their Baccalaureate degree;access non-credit offerings such as citizenship and English language training to further specific personalgoals;and,immerse themselves in lifespan learning.

Southwest College is equally proud of reestablishing itself as the college of choice in the community.With our recent construction,thanks to the community’s support of Proposition A and AA bond initiatives,Southwest College has transformed its physical site.It is truly a campussetting conducive to learning and being responsive to the cultural and ethnic diversity of ourcommunity.
