Coach Moore is entering her 2nd season as an assistant coach at Southwest. Coach Moore is a graduate from Robert A. Millikan High School in Long Beach where she was a four-year letter-winner, was named All-Moore League in her junior and senior year, and named to the All-CIF Division I-AA team her senior season. After high school, she accepted an intercollegiate scholarship to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Ca (LMU). While at LMU, she received her Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance, finished 3rd round in LMU’s International Business Ethics Competition and received Lisa Leslie Award given to the African American female graduating student-athlete with the highest GPA.
Coach Moore concluded her four-year collegiate career at LMU earning Honorable Mention All-West Coast Conference honors her senior year and LMU’s eighth all-time defensive stealer with 187 steals. From there, Coach Moore pursued her basketball career overseas and played professionally in Chemnitz, Germany for the ChemCats. After taking the ChemCats to DBBL Division II Championship, a career ending knee-injury led Moore to look for other ways to share her passion for basketball, leading her to team-up with the coaching staff at Southwest.
Goal(s) for the season: “Have fun, win, and help our players become competitors on the court, and in the classroom.”
