The Lady Cougars played a hard fought game against LA Trade Tech in a rematch from the Pierce Tournament earlier this season. Captain, center, Tierra Robinson finished with a team high 18 points and 21 rebounds. Freshman, forward, Samantha Norfleet added a double double of her own with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman, point guard, Cranesha Jennings pitch in 13 points, hitting 7-9 from the charity stripe.
LASC will face Compton College for the second and final time at home this Saturday the 4th at 2pm.

The Dallas Mavericks were in town and held practice at the LA Southwest gymnasium. Our Lady Cougars were able to take some pictures before their game against the LA Clippers.

The Lady Cougars faced ELAC for the final time this season on January 20th. Captain, center, Tierra Robinson was able to get another double double with 12 points and 11 boards. Freshman, point guard, Cranesha Jennings pitched in 9 points and 3 steals.
On January 25th, the Lady Cougars snatched their first season win against Compton College in an exciting game that went into overtime. Freshman, guard, Denise Carter had an impressive game with a career high 18 points shoot 50% from beyond the arc (5-10). Center, Tierra Robinson achieve yet another double double with 22 points and 18 rebounds. Freshman, point guard, Cranesha Jennings added 11 points of her own to go with 4 rebound and 4 steals.
The Lady Cougars will face Mt. Sac on Friday, January 27th at 5pm at LA Southwest College.

The lady cougars had two road games against Cerritos College and Pasadena City College.
Versus Cerritos, Captain, center, Tierra Robinson lead the Lady Cougars with 9 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman guard Cranesha Jennings pitched in 7 points and 3 steals.
Captain, center, Tierra Robinson had a career high 22 points against Pasadena and added another double double with 14 rebounds. Robinson went 11-16 from the field and had 6 blocks. Freshman, guard, Denise Carter also had a career high with 10 points and 5 steals. The Lady Cougars shot an impressive 39.7% and held Pasedena to only 36% shooting for the game.
LASC will face ELAC on Friday January 20th at home at 5 pm for a Southern Coast Conference rematch.

The Lady Cougars battled hard against El Camino College on Wednesday in their second home game. After trailing by 22 points in the first half, the Lady Cougars won the second half by out scoring El Camino 34-26.
Captain, center, Tierra Robinson dominated the boards snatching 20 rebounds to go with her 16 points. Freshman, point guard, Cranesha Jennings had a double double of her own with 13 points and a season high 16 rebounds. Freshman, forward, Samantha Norfleet pitched in 9 rebounds, 4 points and 2 steals.
The Lady Cougars will take on Cerritos College on Satuday, January 14th at Gahr High School at 5pm.

After a winter break, the Lady Cougars resumed play against Long Beach City College on January 6th. The Lady Cougars held LBCC to only 3 points in the first 10 minutes of play, taking a 9 point lead with the score at 12-3. LBCC then went on a run and regained the lead at the half with a score of 18-34 and would keep the momentum going beating the Lady Cougars.
Captain, center, Tierra Robinson went for a double-double scoring 17 points to go with 16 boards. Freshman shooting guard, Gina Tunzi shot 5 of 9 to give her 10 points. Freshman point guard Cranesha Jennings handed out 7 assists and added 8 points.
The Lady Cougars will go on to face El Camino College on January 11, 2012 at home at 5pm.

The Lady Cougars played a hard fought game against East Los Angeles College. At the half LA Southwest trailled by only 12 points, but the Lady Huskies would hold on to the lead for a victory over the Lady Cougars.
Freshman forward Samantha Norfleet had her first double double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman gaurd Brittany Jones finished with 19 points going 7-12 from the field.
The Lady Cougars will face their first back to back games of the season starting Friday at Mt. SAC at 6pm, then heading over to West LA for a non conference battle Saturday at 2pm.

The Los Angeles Southwest Lady Cougars (2-6) finished preseason tournament play with two Lady Cougars averaging a double - double!
Captain, Tierra Robinson (Fr. center) is averaging 12 ppg and 14 rpg. Brittany Jones (Fr. guard), is averaging 17 ppg, 10 rpg, and 3 spg. Standout shooter, Cranesha Jennings (Fr. guard) is pitching in averaging 16 ppg and 3 spg!
The Lady Cougars will visit East Los Angeles College on December 7th at 6pm to take on the Lady Huskies.

The Lady Cougars play in the Pierce College Tournament November 25 - 27th.
The Cougars started off the tournament playing Oxnard College, in which they fell 63-60 to the Lady Condors.
Freshman Brittany Jones led all scoreres with 22 points, and adding 9 rebounds. Center Tierra Robinson was a solid force in the middle with 10 points, and 12 rebounds.
The Lady Cougars are now in the Consellation Bracket, and play Glendale at 11am at Pierce College.

The Lady Cougars opened the Glendale College Vaquero Shootout with a solid victory over Glendale 75-61.
Freshman center Tierra Robinson led the way with a triple-double 15 points, 24 rebounds, and 10 blocks. Brittany Jones, Freshman guard added a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Freshman guard Cranesha Jennings added a game high 21 points. "The Big Three" led the Lady Cougars to its first victory (1-2) of the 2011-2012 season.
The Lady Cougars will play Irvine Valley College tonight at 7pm.

The Lady Cougars played this past weekend at the Pasadena City College Tournament. They faced Irvine Valley College on Friday, and Taft College on Saturday.
Freshman guard Brittany Jones had a double double in both outings. Against Irvine Valley, Jones rallied up 19 points and 15 rebounds, and 15 points and 12 rebounds against Taft.
Cranesha Jennings, a freshman point-guard, went 6-12 against IVC giving her 16 points to go with 3 steals, and 6-13 shooting for 15 points against Taft.
Tierra Robinson also pitched in, averaging 13 rebounds over 2 games.
The Lady Cougars are preparing for this weekend when they will play in the Vaquero Tournament at Glendale College. Their first game is Friday at 7pm vs. Glendale.

The Lady Cougars kick off the pre-season by playing in the Pasadena City College Tournament beginning Friday November 9th through Sunday November 11th. The Lady Cougars will face Irvine Valley College in their first game on Friday the 9th at 1pm.
