The LASC Foundation Board came together on February 25, 2012 to develop a three-year strategic plan. The current state of the board’s performance was assessed to determine the effectiveness of its functioning and areas for growth. The board recognized each member’s dedication and willingness to contribute time and financial resources despite the infancy stage of setting direction and goals. Furthermore, the board has brought in new members to strengthen the experience and capacity of its membership. Insightful to the influence the board can have on its surrounding community by enriching students’ lives through education, the board members are insistent on placing greater focus on implementation and results.
The below strategic plan unifies the board members vision and sense of purpose. The strategic plan also delivers a roadmap, designed to emphasize implementation and results to achieve its mission and goals. Board and organizational structure is included as a foundational part of its success. An annual evaluation of the board’s functioning is incorporated so the board may track its progress.
