University/College Representative Visits – Meet with representatives from various colleges/universities one-on-one. Visiting representatives are available to answer questions about admissions, majors, financial aid and more. Drop-in or make an appointment.
University/College Fairs – Meet university/college representatives here on campus on the same day at the same time. Have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers. University/College Workshops – Attend a Transfer Strategies, Major-Specific, and/or Transfer Application Workshop. All workshops are designed to provide vital information on the transfer process, university academic programs, how to fill out the application and write the personal statement. Students are encouraged to apply to the universities on-line.
University Tours – Join a campus tour of area colleges and universities. Transportation is provided to over a dozen different universities, including UC, CSU and independent campuses. Take advantage of this great opportunity to experience the campus environment and ask specific questions about admissions, financial aid, housing and university student life.
Catalog and Reference Library – Start your university research right here at Los Angeles Southwest College. A variety of catalogs and resources including free university brochures, pamphlets and flyers are always available.
Videotape Library – Take a “virtual tour” of campuses you can’t visit in person. View a videotape or CDROM, and sit back and tour a variety of colleges/universities without leaving Los Angeles Southwest College.
Scholarship Information – Gather information on a wide range of scholarships available to students who meet a wide variety of criteria.
Transfer Websites and Internet Resources – Utilize our computers to access university catalogs, college ratings, scholarships and internship information, and to take a virtual campus tour and much more.
