Update - January 2005 Faculty/Senator Review

Seven committees composed of three senators have been assigned programs to review using the Program Review Senator Assessor Sheet.

Based on the committee’s consensus, each committee lead forwards to the Senate President a recommendation to either

A. Recommend for Acceptance to Senate with no revisions

B. Recommend to Senate with revisions

For programs that require revisions, the VPAA meets with Program Review Initiator and Department Chair to revise review based on reader’s recommendation (See Program Review Revision Form). The form is forwarded to the Academic Senate President for final approval.

Technical Notes: All program reviews are available for viewing at website: www.westsidelearning.com/programreview.htm. The login for each program is ”program##” based on the program number assigned. The password is “senate”.

The login and password are case sensitive. You will be able to view the graphs and initiator and reader final comments. You cannot edit the review or the comments. Use your Program Review Senator Assessor Sheet for comments or recommendations. Program Review

The LASC Academic Senateinitiated a new program review process for 2004-05. All academic programs havecompletedeweb-based program reviews during Fall of 2004 (November and December).The self-study reports are now available for review.The Academic Senate will vote to approprove or revise the reports in February2005.
