A list of necessary elements to be included in the the course syllabus was approved by the Academic Senate.  They are:

In participating in the California Benchmarking Project with the University of Southern California, elements of a syllabus promoting student success were developed.  They are:

In addition to the cooperative work on the syllabus promoting student success, USC has shared the information posted below for additional support and reference in creating a syllabus.  While the information refers to work done with the Math department, the principles are applicable to all disciplines.
