Archivals of Courses and/or Programs (Degrees and/or Certificates of 18 Units or More):

All Course and Program Archivals must have the approval of the Discipline/Department before being presented to the Curriculum Committee. If archiving a course changes a program, then the Non-Substantial Change Request must also be filled out along with the LASC Program Change Request Form.   If the program (degree or certificate of 18 units or more) is on the State Chancellor's Inventory for the college, then the Non-Substantial Change form must also be filed with the state.

Archival Form for ALL Courses or Programs:

  • Department/Discipline Consent, Course Archival

Additional Form for Archiving a COURSE:

  • District Archival Request (for a COURSE)

A course may also be archived directly through ECD by the Department Chair and Curriculum Chair, with the approval of the discipline.

Course and Program Change Requests:

All Course and Program Changes must have the approval of the Discipline/Department before being presented to the Curriculum Committee. If the change request is one of the District Attributes (those underlined on the Course Outline), the change must be posted by the District for a minimum of a 20-day comment period. At the end of that time, if not challenged, the change defaults to all colleges with the same course.  If challenged, an additional 20-day period is added for the opposing viewpoints to be aired and voted on by the District Curriculum Committee.

Change Form for ALL Courses or Programs:

  • Department/Discipline Consent, Course or Program Change Request

Additional Form for Changing a COURSE:

  • District Change Request (for a COURSE)

Additional Forms for Changing a PROGRAM (Degree or Certificate of 18 units or more):
