Campus Construction

Los Angeles Southwest College continues to move forward with transforming our campus into a state of the art educational facility. Our modernization efforts include updating existing buildings with new technology and building new “green” facilities.

As the campus begins each phase of our extensive building efforts, it is our goal to keep the community informed regarding the impact to campus activities.Please check this space often for updated information regarding construction activities and alerts.

**NOTICE OF BUILDING CHANGES STARTING SUMMER 2011 PLEASE READ**

• Summer 2011 Classes will be held in the Technical Education, Child Development Center and the Academic Village buildings on campus. The Academic Village is a new facility located on the field between the Fitness and Wellness/Lakin Gymnasium and the 105 Freeway.

 

• The temporary Library Center is located next to the Sheriff’s Office and houses the Library, The Mail Room and the Reprographics Office.

 

• The Bookstore has moved.  Find its new location on the first floor of the Student Services Building.

 

• Student parking is available in two locations: the parking structure (lot 4) and the large parking lot in front of student services building (lot 3). Both are off Western Avenue and please use that entrance.  You will still be able to enter from Denker and Imperial Hwy for drop off and pick up purposes. That entrance is located in the front of the College, but student parking is not available in that area.To help guide you to your proper building or parking location signs have been posted.

 

• A new faculty lot is located off Imperial Highway next to the CDC. This is now Lot 1.
