CAHSEE Preparation Classes:

Students attend a 10-week course to enhance their reading, writing, and mathematical skills to prepare for the California High School Exit Exam.

* The CAHSEE English exam is scheduled to be held on July 29, 2008 and the CAHSEE Math Exam is scheduled to be held on July 30, 2008 at Los Angeles Southwest College Campus.

 

Tutoring Services:

One-on-one tutoring and group tutoring are available to students.  Students are also offered another learning resource called PLATO; a computer based program, which students can access from their homes and Los Angeles Southwest College.

Counseling Services:

Academic, personal, and career counseling services are provided to assist students with reaching their goals.  Students are also encouraged to enroll in college, learn how to become successful college students, are given information about financial aid and scholarships, supported in exploring career options, and given referrals to other campus departments in order to meet their academic needs, etc. 

 

Student Success Resources:

Parking permits, bus tokens, snacks, and learning kits (note book paper, writing utensils, etc.) are provided to students to reinforce student participation in the program and to promote a comfortable learning experience.
