Having an active email account is essential even to sign up for an online class (you need one to set up your account).

If you do not have an email account and regularly do not use email this is usually an indicator that you are not proficient at using computers and the internet. If this is the case, it is strongly recommended that you take two classes prior to signing up for your first online class.
