The Poetry Collective is a club at Southwest. Here, students collaborate, freely expressing works of writing to strengthen our dexterity with performance and writing. We focus on helping each other with constructive criticism all while enjoying the habitual pot-luck style grub. Be it poetry, spoken word, prose, plays, or short stories, the Collective provides a safe supportive environment for all to share their words of thought – there are no limitations.
Being a part of our group opens doors to scholarships and looks great on resumes and college applications. Members also have an opportunity to have their work published. The Poetry Collective supports performances both on and off campus.
When: The Collective meets every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month
Where: SSEC 125B
Time: 11:10 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.
