Welcome To The Public Relations Office!

Los Angeles Southwest College’s Public Relations Office serves as the primary campus contact for media inquiries. The PR manager oversees communication with campus stakeholders, including LASC students, faculty, and staff as well as the Los Angeles Community College District, area businesses, and community members. The office also oversees content published on all LASC social media accounts and manages the college's website. 

College Logo Refresh Project

In spring 2020, the President's Office established the short-term Presidential Taskforce to refresh our Los Angeles Southwest College logo, which has not been updated in over 30 years. The Steering Taskforce will be composed of the following LASC team members:

  • Lauran Evans, Art Faculty
  • Damien Danielly, Career Center Coordinator
  • Ronald Tatum, Bookstore Supervisor
  • Ben Demers, Public Relations Manager

The campus kick-off meeting of this task force has been set for next Friday, September 18th from 11:00am-1:00pm through Zoom. LASC will be working with Mittera Creative Services to support our efforts in creating an engaging and refreshed new logo.

The Taskforce will be meeting monthly until December 2020 to support our campus with creating and approving a new college logoThis task force participation is open to ALL LASC employees AND Students who want to be involved in this important work.

  • From November 30th to December 11th -- Campus-wide online voting begins
  • Friday, December 11th-- Logo is selected based on votes by entire campus
  • December 12th to January  1st -- Mittera will build out final logo files
  • Monday, January 4, 2021 -- New logo Launch!
