L.A. Southwest College's Sheriff’s Office

Welcome To The Sheriff’s Office Website!

Los Angeles Southwest College Sheriff's Office is staffed with L.A. County Sheriff Deputies and Security Officers and additional assistance is provided by Los Angeles Community College District cadets. This staffing provides 24-hour security coverage for all persons visiting and using the campus.

The LACCD, made up of nine college campuses, contracts the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for law enforcement services. The nine campuses are organized under the Sheriff's Community College Bureau. Each college campus has a Sheriff's Office.

LASC's Sheriff's Office is housed next to Middle College High School and across from the Student Services Building.

Core Values

Lead with compassion, serve with humility and courageously seek justice for ALL.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is to partner with the community to proactively prevent crime, enforce the law fairly and enhance the public’s trust through transparency and accountability.

In an emergency, dial 3-1-1 from any campus phone. Also, the blue phone poles around campus will connect you directly to the Sheriff’s Office by pressing the red talk button. Please only use these phone poles for emergency calls.

As required by the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (“Clery Act”), the college’s Annual Security Report contains policy statements and crime statistics for the campus. The Annual Security Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning certain reported crimes that occurred on campus, in off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the college, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to the college.

The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus safety and security, such as policies on drug and alcohol use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and emergency response and evacuation procedures.

You can obtain the college’s Annual Security Report by clicking the appropriate link below. You may also request a paper copy by contacting the LASC Sheriff's Office at 323-241-5311 or the LASC Library at 323-241-5235.
