    Financial Aid Questions? Check Out GetAnswers 24/7

    LASC's Financial Aid Office encourages students to utilize GetAnswers, an online library of short 60-90 second videos that are accessible on-demand. GetAnswers' videos detail complex financial aid information to current and prospective students in an easy to understand style. Topics include how to complete a FAFSA, understanding the award letter as well as loans, grants and much more. Check it out. Read Article

    2021-2022 FAFSA Application Is Open

    On October 1, the 2021-2022 FAFSA application will be open for completion. Some types of aid are awarded on a first come first serve basis so make sure to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible to be eligible for the most aid.     Lakin Center To Be Voting Center This General Election

    LASC's Lakin Center will serve as an in-person voting center from October 24 to November 3 for the upcoming General Election. Voters will be able to cast their ballots in-person or drop-off their mail-in ballots from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. October 24 to November 2 and from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day, November 3.     Los Angeles Southwest College is in the process of updating the Strategic Education Master Plan for the next five years and is looking for feedback from LASC students. On Wednesday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the college is hosting a Zoom open forum just for students to address questions related to the improvement of the college, which will inform the development of the Strategic Education Master Plan.
