Academic Senate President-Elect Elections Announced

The Academic Senate of LASC is a governing body committed to working closely with the administration in efforts to advocate for the best possible outcomes for our students, faculty, campus, and community at large. In keeping with the representative nature of this body, election cycles are held every 2 years to ensure that the diverse voices within our campus community can be heard and to serve.
Office: President-Elect (election for our next Academic Senate President July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2023)
President-Elect will automatically become Academic Senate President for the 2021-2023 cycle at which time a 0.6 FTE D-Basis reassignment time will become available.
The eligibility requirements for this office are tenured faculty and dues paid before the nomination period. Be advised a sitting president has to be nominated in order to retain the position.
