LACCD has created a COVID-19 webpage to get your questions answered about how the pandemic impacts your time at the college.

Online Support

Using Canvas!

Logging into Canvas!

To view your Canvas Dashboard:

  • Go to the SIS Portal log in page and log in with the same information you use to log into the SIS system where you add classes, see your schedule, etc. Then, click on the “Canvas” tile on the dashboard.

Is my class online or in-person?

  • Go to the SIS system where you can view your course details:
    • In-person meetings - will say "In person classes" OR "Online/In-Person - Hybrid"
    • Scheduled, required Zoom meetings - will say "Online Async and Sync" OR "Online - Synchronous"
    • No scheduled, required Zoom Meetings - will say "Online-Asynchronous" OR "Online Classes"

I don't see my course!

Don't panic if you do not see your course on your Canvas Dashboard just yet. Often instructors wait until the first day to publish the Canvas course shell. If you still do not see you course on the first day of class, please feel free to reach out and let us know.

 Resources for Online Success!
